Insignia I-4000 Access Controller

The Insignia I-4000 controller features state of-the-art technology that provides flexibility and reliability for your access control and alarm monitoring applications.
Using a high-performance microprocessor and advanced memory techniques, the Insignia controller will out-perform many of the controllers on the market today. Each Insignia controller has the capacity to store up to 28,000 cards and 15,000 transactions. With the ability to communicate over Ethernet at 10/100 Mbps, over RS-485, or over standard RS-232 at speeds up to 57.6 Kbps, the Insignia controller provides the performance required for small or large databases.
I-4000-PCB
The I-4000-PCB is offered as a printed circuit board only and can be ordered separately. Contact our

The Insignia Advantage
The Insignia access control system was developed for new as well as existing access control sites. The Insignia I-4000 Controller provides advanced features such as Ethernet connectivity, fast download speeds, plenty of onboard I/Os as well as on-board power for those devices, flash memory updates, and many other state of the art improvements. The ease of programming and communications, and familiarity make this system an excellent choice. The attractive price simply makes the choice easier.
We realize the importance of leveraging the training you and your staff have invested as well as the need to support systems currently in place. The Insignia I-4000 Controller is compatible with the approximately 250,000 currently-installed N-1000-4™ access control systems (485 AckNak).

Technical Specifications
Communications
Serial Port: RS-232 (Primary communication port): The default speed of the serial port is 57.6 Kbps but it can be restricted to 19.2 Kbps by setting DIP switch 8 to the off position to accomodate a PCI. The Ethernet interface board (IP-Card) connects directly to the serial port, default speed is again 57.6 Kbps.
Primary Power
12 VDC ± 15%, 800 mAa
Note:
To prevent damage to the controller make sure the polarity is connected correctly.
Warning:
Do not connect the power supply (PS-24DC) directly to the controller. The input power to the controller must be +12 VDC. The PS-24DC outputs +24 VDC and therefore requires a converter. Security International recommends the Battery Backup Control Board (A-UPS-0250).
Memory Backup
In the event of a power loss from both primary and backup sources, the controller will retain memory for three days, or at least 30 days with an onboard battery.
Inputs
20 supervised alarm inputs
(16 monitored, 3 unmonitored, 1 dedicated)
Relay Outputs
Eight DPDT 6 Amp max. @ 30 V DC/AC (resistive)
3 Amp max. @ 30 V DC/AC (inductive)
