485-COM-MOD
 
Choose this module if additional Insignia controllers are required to be on a single communications line.
We offer a RS-232 to RS-485 communications device which allows you to connect up to 15 Insignia controllers together on one 485 Bus (Drop-line). This unit is easy to install.
Note: Insignia uses only AckNak protocol when using this module.

IP-COM-MOD


Choose this module if you're connecting a 485-COM-MOD and you require ethernet communications for more distance. Via a network HUB you are offered more distance, flexibility and stability. When
used with the 485-COM-MOD you can connect up to 15 Insignia controllers via ethernet.

IP-CARD


The IP-CARD ethernet board utilizes the advantages of ethernet communications. Using standard CAT 5 cabling, this module allows for expansion of communications between the HOST PC software
and the controller itself. Simply plug the board directly into the Insignia controller's serial port to complete the hardware installation. (Part #IP-CARD)

SERIAL-100



The SERIAL-100 cable provides 100' of distance from the HOST PC software directly to the Insignia controller via RS-232. A standard 9 pin M/F cable completes the connection.

SERIAL-USB-1


The SERIAL-USB-1 converter provides quick and easy USB to RS-232 communications to the Insignia controller using today's popular PC-based  USB port configuration. It can be plugged directly into the controller if a short distance is required, or it can be used with the SERIAL-100 kit for more flexibility.

Universal Enclosure

 
The enclosure is a hinged-steel encasement with knockouts and can be secured with a lock and key. It includes a tamper switch and four grounding studs. (Part #ENC-1)

Battery Backup Control Board



VUANCE`s Battery Backup Control Board was designed to work with the Insignia "I-4000" Controller. The Battery Backup Control Board intelligently manages power, backup power, power fail, and battery fail for both 12v and 24v devices. Powerful and versatile, the control board is designed to perform in a variety of power management settings. (Part #A-UPS-0250)

12v DC Battery


This 12v DC battery offers backup protection if primary power is lost. This device connects easily to VUANCE`s Battery Supervision Board and provides a 7 Amp-hour rating. (Part #BAT-12V-7A).

24v DC Power Supply

 
Provides power to the Insignia controller but can also sufficiently power extra locks, readers and keep the backup battery charged. This item is used with VUANCE`s Battery Supervison Board. (Part #PS-24DC)
Note:
This unit is not to be powered directly into the Insignia controller because it outputs 24 volts and the Insignia accepts 12 volts DC.

Suppression Kit

 


This suppresion kit come with four suppressors and is included in every I-4000 assembly. If more are required, please call customer service or sales. (Part #A-SUP-1000) The suppressors protect the Insignia controller and associated devices from power surges common to many locking devices.

Mounting Plate


This mounting plate is available if retro-fitting the Insignia controller into a Northern Computer`s N1000TM enclosure. Comes with screws and is easy to install. (Part #CON-PLATE).
